This was my first multi-layered screen print on paper. Layering with color has always been a daunting task for me, so I tried to keep the imagery and colors on this piece daily simple. When I am struggling with new processes I tend to move away from my typical body of work and get silly with the subject.

Crochet and Print
These are the first tests of a project currently in the works: Traditionally screenprinting on crocheted pieces. I am still finding out what yarn blends and shapes work best for this process. I am also experimenting with processing the yarn to make the pieces as flat as possible for easier printing.
Other processes will be experimented with on crochet, such as relief, but screenprinting is the main focus of this project.
